Schindler's books includes Magic with Everyday Objects, Basic Balloon Sculpture,
Ventriloquism, Presto and Magic for the Beginner, in addition to numerous articles for
magic publications. Although he specializes in corporate magic, trade shows and sales meetings, he still
loves theatre shows (with his "World of Illusion") and close-up. He and Nina Schindler still do
their "club-date" act. In 1985, they were curators of the magic exhibit at Lincoln Center for the
S.A.M. Parent Assembly #1. He has lectured throughout the United States and in England, Canada, New Zealand
The Parent Assembly of the Society of American Magicians in New York recognized George Schindler as their
"Magician of the Year" in 1986 for his outstanding contributions as a performer, author and lecturer,
and for his continuous contributions to the advancement of the art of magic.
A past national president of the Society of American Magicians who has also been elected to the SAM Hall of Fame, Schindler serves on the board of trustees of the Society of American Magicians Endowment Fund. He is the chairman of the Houdini Hospital Fund. He is a member of the IBM, MAES, the Magic Circle of London, the Australian Society of Magicians and was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Milbourne Christopher Foundation.
